The TRNSYS Project, based at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and hosted on its Solar Energy Laboratory website, is a renowned software development initiative focused on TRNSYS (Transient System Simulation Tool). TRNSYS is a flexible, graphically based software environment used to simulate the behavior of transient systems. This tool is especially well-suited for detailed analyses of any system where energy transfer is involved, allowing users to evaluate the performance of thermal and electrical energy systems. This project offers a suite of products including the main TRNSYS software, which features a wide range of components to simulate systems including renewable energy systems, buildings, HVAC systems, and storage systems. The simulation platform is highly customizable, facilitating researchers, engineers, and system planners to model and manipulate energy systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness.Key elements of the TRNSYS project include its extensible modular approach, allowing users to add new components written in Fortran, C, C++, Delphi, etc., and its integrated development environment which supports project management, simulation, and graphical visualization of input and output data. For comprehensive details on TRNSYS software, including downloads, tutorial materials, and community forums, visit their website at [https://sel.me.wisc.edu/trnsys/](https://sel.me.wisc.edu/trnsys/). This site serves as a central hub for new users and experienced practitioners alike, providing extensive resources and support for simulating and analyzing transient systems effectively.
