NetLogo is a multi-agent programmable modeling environment used for simulating natural and social phenomena. It is particularly well-suited for modeling complex systems developing over time. Programmers can give instructions to hundreds or thousands of "agents" all operating independently. This makes it possible to explore the connection between the micro-level behavior of individuals and the macro-level patterns that emerge from the interaction of many individuals.NetLogo\'s website, located at https://ccl.northwestern.edu/netlogo, offers resources such as the NetLogo software itself, user manuals, tutorials, sample models, and a community section where users can exchange ideas and models. Developed and maintained by the Center for Connected Learning and Computer-Based Modeling at Northwestern University, NetLogo is widely used in education, research, and industrial applications for studying various phenomena in biology, physics, economics, psychology, and numerous other fields. The platform is designed to be accessible to newcomers but also powerful enough for expert users to build sophisticated simulations.
