Hysterix vs. Cortex

Hystrix is a latency and fault tolerance library designed to isolate points of access to remote systems, services and 3rd party libraries, stop cascading failure and enable resilience in complex distributed systems where failure is inevitable.

Engineering organizations grow faster than their processes. Services multiply, ownership gets murky, and institutional knowledge walks out the door with every departure. Standards that made sense at 50 engineers break down at 500. When something goes wrong, teams spend hours figuring out who's responsible which delays fixing the problem. When leadership asks how engineering is improving, there's no reliable answer. Cortex is the Engineering Operations Platform that changes this.
