AlmaLinux OS
AlmaLinux OS is an enterprise Linux operating system used across the globe by enterprises, supercomputers, and hobbyists alike, but it’s guided and built by the community. We were the first downstream RHEL clone to be released after the announcement by Red Hat that support for CentOS Linux was ending, and we shifted to maintaining RHEL compatibility in the wake of Red Hat’s announcement in June that they would no longer be releasing their SRPMs. Our goal is to provide a stable, long-term option for folks who have historically used CentOS Linux, and for whom CentOS Stream is not an option.

Rocky Linux
Rocky Linux is a free, open-source enterprise operating system designed to be fully compatible with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). Developed by the Rocky Enterprise Software Foundation, it aims to provide a stable, production-ready platform for various computing environments, including desktops, servers, and supercomputers. The project was initiated in response to the discontinuation of CentOS, with the goal of continuing its mission to offer a community-supported, enterprise-grade operating system.
